Why do I paint?
I love dogs. Dogs were some of my best friends growing up. Dogs have been my kids throughout my married adult life. That's where my love of painting begins - with the true love I've shared with my dogs.
Capturing these creatures' spirits in art for others who love and treasure them has been one of my life's great joys. It gives my soul true happiness and purpose. It brings me peace when I'm happy at work in my studio, and fulfillment to be able to help others give these special gifts or get through the loss of their companions. I'm filled with awe and gratitude to my Creator with each painting I create. To honor God for this awesome gift and to pay tribute to the incredible bond we have with our pets, I support nonprofit animal rescues (and sometimes nonprofit people rescues) with my art.

My husband and our doxie hounds are my loves and inspiration.
